How Does the QVC Appointment Process Work?
The full QVC cycle runs in six phases. Steps 2 through 4 typically happen in a single visit — one long appointment, not multiple trips.
Step 1: Get Your Visa Reference Number and Book Online
Your employer or sponsor in Qatar initiates everything. They apply for initial visa approval through the Ministry of Interior, then give you a Visa Reference Number (VRN). Without it, you can’t book.
Go to qatarvisacenter.com/cnt/bookappointment, select your country and city, enter your passport number and VRN, and choose a time slot. You can reschedule up to five times through the “Manage Appointment” section — but only at least 24 hours before your slot. After five reschedules, you’re walk-in only.
Print your confirmation letter. Don’t just screenshot it — centers have turned people away for showing digital-only copies.
Step 2: Biometric Enrollment
This is the first thing that happens when you walk in. Staff capture your facial image, iris scan, and a full set of fingerprints — finger rolls, thumbprints, and palm scans.
Clean hands are non-negotiable. Henna, fresh cuts, colored marks, or anything covering your palms will get you turned away on the spot. That’s a wasted trip and a lost slot. No exceptions.
Children under 6, adults over 80, and pre-approved diplomatic passport holders are exempt.
Step 3: Medical Screening
Work visa applicants go through a medical exam roughly one hour after biometrics. Tests cover a general physical, vision assessment, blood pressure reading, and lab work — HIV, Hepatitis B and C, Syphilis, and blood sugar. Female applicants also receive a pregnancy test.

Country-Specific Updates Regarding QVC
Several QVC countries have recent policy changes that affect your application.
India: The Ministry of Interior now requires all Indian passports to include three name components — a given name, a father’s name, and a family name. If your passport doesn’t follow this structure, expect processing delays before you even reach your appointment. Check your passport now, not the week of your booking.

- Name mismatches between your passport, certificates, and application — especially common across South Asian and Southeast Asian naming conventions
- Henna or hand conditions that prevent clean fingerprint scans — you’re turned away, no exceptions
